YouTuber Jane Dillon Horner from Los Angeles lives in a renovated garage with her mother and sister, and she likes it even though it’s cramped.

To save space, they live in the garage where they have a modular table that can be expanded if necessary and an open wardrobe for clothes. A large part of the room is their large bed, which Jane admitted to sharing with her mother, reports “The Sun”.

With the cost of renting and buying real estate, some people are getting creative when it comes to living space.

Jane Dillon Horner shared a video giving a tour of their tiny home in Los Angeles.

– Today I will take you through my home, the renovated garage and tell you how and why I live here with my family. It might not make sense to live in a garage, but it’s actually pretty cool. It’s fully air-conditioned, has electricity, water, everything, it’s a small home with a garage door on the wall – explains Jane.

She said that some people feel sorry for her when they find out where she lives, but she doesn’t really need pity.

– I’m not ashamed to live here, I want to live here. It’s in my favorite neighborhood in Los Angeles. Here it is super new, modern and cute – she points out.

When entering the garage, you can see the first floor, i.e. bedroom, kitchen, living room, a kind of room for everyone.

– We don’t have a dishwasher, we wash by hand – she admits.

– Probably many of you will be surprised by this, but my mother and I share a bed when I’m here. It might be a problem if we didn’t get along so well, but we never fight, so everything works very, very well. I know that not all mothers and daughters can do something like that, so I’m really grateful – says Jane.

Upstairs is her sister’s shower room and bedroom, but Jane says they have learned to be very quiet when they pass by her at night. One of her favorite parts of the house in the garage is being able to open the door completely, The Sun reports.

– I think it’s really cool, especially if it’s very stuffy or if someone is cooking, we can open the whole wall and let the light in – she adds.

Jane explained why they lived in the garage.

– My mother’s best friend lives in the house with which our garage is connected. Privacy is never an issue, we are very close as a family. Renting a house is very expensive in Los Angeles. My mother’s friend was renting the garage, but she prefers her friends to be there – she explained.
